PROFESSIONAL SQUASH COACH

SquashRx seeks a responsible, passionate, and committed coach to join our professional team and implement lessons and programs for the coming season.

LOCATION: New Canaan, CT

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to consistently deliver a professional level of communication, preparation, punctuality, and presentation

• 2+ years of coaching and experience

• 5.0+ playing standard

• Passion for squash, coaching, and optimizing personal performance

• Driver’s license
  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coaching adults and children of all levels in private and group sessions

• Collaborating with other coaches to plan and run programs such as camps, etc.

• Assist program director in the building of strong community and programming within the club

• Assist in running of events and attend tournaments to coach juniors as needed

• Designing lesson plans for coaching sessions

• Reserve courts to ensure proper scheduling and billing

• Participate in staff trainings and outings

SCHEDULE:

• Term of commitment is early September - mid-July

• Target will be 25+ hours/week of coaching over 6 days with 1 day/week off

• Two 1-week vacations that may be taken during junior program holidays in December and March with exact dates subject to approval of management.

• Additional coaching opportunities available mid-July and August.

COMPENSATION: commensurate with experience, qualifications, and commitment.
